About
What does E.B. Ford Create?

Artistic Work
As a child, Elizabeth and her sister were both allowed one extracurricular activity of their choice. To the surprise and financial detriment of her parents, she chose oil painting. Thus began a lifelong love of creating and enjoying art. After meeting her husband, she adopted his passion and love of board games and their art. Originally created as a Christmas present for that man who sparked this love, the Anatomy Art Playing Cards were the beginning of her current professional projects to design and illustrate cards for a variety of games. Her current personal work is inspired by the Victorian ideas of "Memento Mori" and "The Good Death" and stems from the idea that death is a part of life.
Writing
E.B. Ford has spent all her life reading and writing books; especially fantasy, mystery, and spy novels. Growing up, she ravenously devoured anything and everything by Roald Dahl and blames him, along with her parents, for her eccentricities and broken humor. Along with Dahl, has a deep love for the writings of C.S. Lewis, Garth Nix, Shakespeare, and Dorothy Gilman. She, somewhat infamously, discussed cadavers and poison with her husband at their first meeting. Luckily for her, he didn't run screaming. Luckily for him, her interest is purely academic. They now live in Utah with their two sons and an overly anxious dog. You can follow her @EBFordAuthor on X and @EBFordCreated on Instagram for updates.
